A leaking immersion heater could have caused massive problems for our client’s customer but full settlement of the claim within 10 hours of first being told of the claim went some way towards reducing the stress, inconvenience and potential longer term costs.
Arranging for a loss adjuster visit on the same day as the claim was made is par for the course at Stream and, in this case, resulted in immediate agreement and settlement of monies due for replacement goods. Noticing the equipment and paint needed for a proposed decorating job was already in the house our adjuster had the good sense to ask what it was for and it turns out that some work entirely unrelated to the claim was due to commence.
Could this work now be extended to include the new damage to the lounge we asked? Of course it could and with a decorator delighted to receive additional monies for extra work plus a very satisfied claimant the whole experience was one which left all the parties very happy.
